Fairy godmother needed to plan trip to Disney World Attractions

Here’s a pretty unique perspective on one person’s experience in planning a trip to Disney World attractions for young children.  It resonates with anyone who has been tasked to plan a vacation trip.  Hey, let’s be honest, plans and trips go awry when we get tired and grumpy and things don’t work as well as planned.  Check it out….

I told my husband and anyone else who would listen, “I refuse to take our children to Disney World until they can walk the whole park because strollers irritate me up to here and I’m not parking it out in the middle of nowhere when we all have to go to

Let’s just say that my 5 year old this year on our trip to the Disney World attractions got a lot of piggy back rides, even though we talked incessantly about her walking all by herself the entire trip.  Oh well, it’s a bonding experience anyway, so it just added to the memories (and a bit of a sore back!).

New Attractions for Walt Disney World in 2012

2012 promises to be quite a year for new and cool Disney World attractions.  There is a revamped Fantasy Land, which is reported to be the biggest expansion in the park’s 40 history.  I’m sure that more details are coming, and I await those anxiously.

This year brings new attractions, a revamped land, and a new hotel to the resort. Here is a glimpse at what’s new for Disney World in 2012. Epcot’s wildly popular Test Track will be re-imagined in 2012 to include the Chevrolet Design Center,

If you’re going to central Florida to visit all the cool Disney World attractions, you might as well lodge at a place that captures the heart.  From the article, “Opening this May, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be the 25th lodging option onsite. The hotel celebrates Disney animation with nearly 2000 rooms, 1,120 of them suites, themed after “The Lion King,” “Cars,” “Finding Nemo,” and “The Little Mermaid.” Animated scenes will be on building exteriors as well as inside rooms. Giant characters from the animated films will be display in courtyard areas and the resort itself will be topped by a 35-foot-tall model of King Triton.

How cool is that?  VERY!

My Favorite Princess as Well as My Favorite Hollywood Disney World Attraction

The Beauty and the Beast attraction at Disney World is still one of my all-time favorites.  The 30 minutes spent there are terrific and it never gets old watching the beautiful Belle.  Well, Disney is releasing Beauty and the Beast in 3-D and is adding a new attraction at Disney World that features the prince’s castle.

It (Beauty and the Beast) became the first animated feature to be nominated for Best Picture. The character Belle, especially, is a mainstay for Disney. She’s part of their “Disney Princesses” franchise.

Both actresses hope to travel to Walt Disney World this year, as the theme park is opening a replica of the Beast’s castle. O’Hara also noted that, this year, she and Disney decided that “I was sounding a little too old” to voice Belle, something she

Friday, Disney will re-release the movie in theaters… in 3-D.

This ought to be quite an attraction for the folks at Disney World.  Belle is not only a most beautiful princess; she is a princess that loves to read and isn’t necessarily after a Prince Charming (though there’s nothing wrong with that).  Her character is quite giving, and she provides a tremendous example any little girl emulating her.  The movie in 3-D ought to be fantastic.

Disney World Attractions versus Disney Land attractions: Are there Distinctons?

Certainly, there are lots of opinions regarding which is better:  Disney World attractions in Orlando or Disney Land attractions in Anaheim.  Well, your geographic center is key here (as well as your budget).  Still, there are some subtle, yet distinct differences.  The following article is one person’s opinion that central Florida is the ultimate but that Anaheim’s Disney Land has some very cool distinctions.  My solution:  go to both!  I haven’t done it yet, so I’m looking for your feedback regarding the differences.

Indeed, there are many differences, some of which I really relish about Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Here are the top differences in my mind: There are attractions at Disneyland that simply aren’t in Florida. I know this goes both ways.

You know what’s funny?  I have family in Anaheim but have never visited and thus have never been to the Disney attractions.  I find that a bid odd or quaint.  And disappointing.  Yet, there’s always time to visit.  Lucky for me, I also have family in central Florida, and I always need a good excuse to go see them.  Disney World and all its attractions fit the bill.
